I’ve been designing interiors for 25 years – from England, where I studied at London’s Inchbald School of Design, to California, where I opened my first design firm, to Montana where bunkhouses and timber-frames called.

I’ve designed some furniture and lots of built-ins, turned yards of pretty fabric into custom draperies, and spent many hours sorting through heavy piles of exotic rugs.

And through it all, I’ve always had a soft spot for beds. I found one, ‘The Red Bed’ we call it, at an antique store in Summerland 20 years ago. And I’ve hauled it around with me ever since, much to my family’s chagrin.

I love the sight of a well-made bed, and the feel of one, too. And I like sharing that joy with my clients as I help them create bedrooms that are restful by night and beautiful by day.

I’m also a mom. That’s the best job of all. And in order to do that job well, I decided to edit my design work down to one specialty: bedrooms. It lets me hyper-focus, stay on top of my sources, and be efficient with my and my clients’ time. The bedroom is also pretty important, considering we all spend about four months of every year sleeping. So Beds by Anne it is!
